I started getting interested in computers at school back in the 90s. I used to love messing about with different programs and games and when the Internet became a thing I was amazed by it.
I ended up studying multimedia at University which covered a range of subjects including video production, databases and web design. I finished Uni knowing I either wanted to work with video or build websites.
In my first job after Uni I started out as a video editor but I quickly moved over into designing websites and landing pages. I classed myself as a designer in those days and I moved into other jobs designing and, eventually, building websites. I quickly got a grasp of backend coding as well as making designs come to life on the frontend.
I worked my way up to Head of Development in my last job before becoming a full time freelancer in 2020. In that job and since then I've worked on many projects of different scopes including landing pages, simple interactive games, websites, ecommerce stores, custom order systems and time management applications.
My goal is to produce high quality work that is simple to use and exceeds expectations!
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife (@SarahEverettPhotography) and 4 children, cycling, walking and experiencing new places. If you're around the Colchester area you might see me on my bike with one or more children in tow!
I've had the privilege of working with great brands both big and small. Here's a selection of some of them. (Hover/tap to find out more)
